近來夏日炎熱,溫度日益升高,加上台灣電力供應吃緊,一場人為疏失,導致全台灣大規模停電。這場停電風暴,猶如野火一般狂野蔓延,在這悶熱的氣溫裡,引爆了許多人內在的怒火!民生生活的不便,衝擊了生活中的秩序,激起了對政府施政的不滿,許多的情緒猶如狂暴失控的海嘯,在生活周遭環境中恣意的沖刷暴動,紛亂不休。
亢奮憤怒的情緒,本是我們眾多情緒面向之一。當我們若沒保持覺察,很容易被這肆虐的情緒洪流帶著四處躁動。外在環境總是充滿著許多的變動,今天是高溫、明天是停電,後天可能是其他讓我們身心不安的事件,如何在這不斷變動、充滿不安的世間,依舊保持一顆如如不動的心境,是現代人很重要的課題與學習。
近十年來,腦神經科學的發達,臨床上許多證據顯示,關注於呼吸可以改變我們大腦掌前額葉區對情緒的反應,讓我們在身心上面得到安頓,是現代人用來減輕壓力,獲得平靜非常有效的方式。
當遇到讓我們產生情緒的情境時,只要把我們的注意力溫柔的轉移到我們的呼吸上。不用刻意的去控制呼吸,只要專心地觀察身體每一次自然的吸氣、呼氣,甚至呼與吸之間的空隙。
在我們試著專注於呼吸的觀察過程中,腦袋很自然的同時會有其他的念頭與感受,但那一點也沒關係,只要在覺察注意力跑掉之時,溫柔的再次把注意力帶回到呼吸的觀察上即可。
持續練習專注呼吸的過程,我們的心境自然而然地就會像處於激流中的大石,穩重堅定的屹立於狂奔的溪水之中,不受影響,依舊平靜安詳。
